Quando si parla di lesioni muscolari e tendinee la Football Medicine Community si trova di fronte ad un tema molto frequente e complesso che coinvolge tutti gli operatori del settore.
I medici dello sport devono affrontare numerosi infortuni muscolari ogni anno con una costante pressione su prognosi, tempi di recupero e rischio di recidive. Un aggiornamento in questo campo è fondamentale, anche per migliorare il livello di comunicazione con lo staff tecnico.
Gli ortopedici che intendono sviluppare la propria carriera nell’ambito della Sports Medicine devono spesso prendere decisioni complesse su indicazioni e tecniche chirurgiche.
Gli specialisti della riabilitazione hanno la responsabilità di guidare l’atleta verso una completa guarigione biologica e funzionale. Un percorso graduale da seguire con estrema cautela per prevenire il rischio di un nuovo infortunio.
Allenatori e preparatori devono gestire atleti che giocano fino a 70 partite in un anno, intervallate da oltre 200 sessioni di allenamento con un rischio di sovraccarico costante. In un simile contesto la conoscenza appropriata delle tecniche di riabilitazione e dei programmi di prevenzione risulta fondamentale per la gestione dello sportivo.
Il programma di questo Congresso ha utilizzato un approccio multidisciplinare per permettere a tutti gli specialisti della Football Medicine Community di acquisire una visione ampia della tematica. Molto spesso infatti queste lesioni vengono affrontate in modo superspecialistico con un’insufficiente comunicazione tra i diversi operatori coinvolti nel processo di recupero, mentre è il gioco di squadra che permette di raggiungere i migliori risultati.
