Upon arrival for your first appointment, you will be welcomed by one of our receptionists. They are responsible for your welcome at our centre and will assist you in booking your next appointments. Throughout your rehabilitation journey, they will be your logistical and administrative support.
During your first appointment, you will be examined by a specialist physician. At Isokinetic, we refer to this professional as a “Case Manager” because they are responsible for you’re your entire therapeutic journey- from an initial evaluation of your clinical situation to your diagnosis and your treatment pathway. They will supervise every phase of your treatment, from start to finish. Additionally, your Case Manager will monitor your progress through periodic check-ups.
Your physician will share your clinical picture and objectives with your rehabilitation specialist, who will then become your point of reference within the clinic. They will take care of the rehabilitation pathway that has been prepared for you, encouraging and motivating you throughout the entire process.
After the initial cycle of sessions with your rehabilitation specialist, you will meet your Case Manager again. They will assess your progress and make any necessary adjustments based on your condition and how your body is responding to the treatments. They may also decide to conduct evaluation tests or add additional sessions to your rehabilitation plan, if necessary
Functional assessment tests are physical tests that explore different areas of patient and athlete function, such as muscle strength, fitness level and quality of movement.
The results of these tests are decisive in tailoring subsequent therapeutic intervention and in assessing the progress of recovery, and the decision to return to sport.
All patients, whether athletes, sports enthusiasts, or non-athletes, have access to field rehabilitation. In the sports field, various exercises are performed to gradually help patients recover the specific movements needed for their daily activities or the sport they practice. On the field, the focus is on the specifics of the function of various body parts, providing customized stimuli and guiding the patient towards regaining a sense of bodily normalcy.
The therapeutic pathway continues until the patient discharge visit, where your Case Manager will examine your progress. Your rehabilitation specialist will have prepared a maintenance program for you to continue the work done so far at home. Your physician and rehabilitation specialist will remain available even after you have been discharged, should you have any doubts or needs.
