Isokinetic is a medical group specialised in orthopaedic and sports rehabilitation with a multidisciplinary clinical approach based on diagnosis, functional evaluation tests and personalised treatment programmes. Isokinetic mainly deals with orthopaedic or muscular injuries, prevention and return to sport.

Is Isokinetic affiliated with the National Health Service?

Isokinetic is a private medical group and is not affiliated with the National Health Service (ASL / NHS) because it does not apply standard protocols, but personalised ones based on the patient’s needs.

How much does a consultation at Isokinetic cost?

An initial specialist consultation costs €200, unless other agreements are made with athletes affiliated with sports organisations partnered with the clinic.

How much does a rehabilitation programme at Isokinetic cost?

There is no fixed cost — it depends on the treatment programme built for the individual patient. Following the initial specialist consultation, a personalised cost estimate will be prepared.

Does Isokinetic only treat professional athletes?

No. At Isokinetic, in addition to professional athletes, amateur athletes and active non-athletic patients are treated. We do not treat patients with neurological or geriatric issues.

Does Isokinetic issue medical certificates for competitive sport?

No, medical examinations for competitive sport with the issuance of a medical sports certificate are not provided.

Is Isokinetic affiliated with insurance companies?

Depending on the Isokinetic clinic, we have specific agreements with certain insurance companies, which can be discussed at reception.

Which medical services can I receive at Isokinetic?

After directions from the doctor during the specialist consultation, the following services may be provided: shockwave therapy, mesotherapy and hyaluronic acid injections.

Can I have an ultrasound scan at Isokinetic?

Yes — muscular, joint and tendon ultrasounds are available.

What treatments can I undergo at Isokinetic?

Is Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) available at Isokinetic?

Yes — MRI scans are available at Isokinetic Bologna and can be performed on the spine (cervical, dorsal, lumbar), shoulder, elbow, wrist-hand, hip, knee and ankle-foot. The open-style S Scan machine provides greater comfort, especially for claustrophobic patients.

Does Isokinetic use PRP treatments?

Yes. This service is currently available at the Isokinetic clinics in Milan, Turin, Verona and London.

Is it possible to do remote rehabilitation with Isokinetic?

Yes. Isokinetic offers a virtual clinic called Isokinetic Virtual+ with telemedicine and telerehabilitation.
