Since 1992, the Isokinetic Medical Group has organized the world’s largest conference in football medicine, bringing together the entire Football Medicine Community under one roof. Held in partnership with FIFA Medical Department since 2011, the conference has progressively grown in size and prestige and is now one of the key events for the global sports medicine community. . The multidisciplinary approach we have always promoted allows us to gather a faculty composed by the leading minds in orthopaedics and traumatology, sports medicine, physiotherapy, and sport science. Thousands of young researchers from all over the world have the opportunity to work alongside
these experts, presenting their own studies and sharing their experiences. Alongside FIFA and UEFA, the conference also welcomes leading international scientific societies such as ISAKOS, ESSKA, and ICRS, which contribute with highly specialized symposia dedicated to our community.
From the very beginning, Isokinetic has embraced an international vision—one that is perfectly reflected in the evolution of its Conference, which has grown from a national event into a truly global gathering. The remarkable development of the Football Medicine Conference over the past 30 years highlights the international Sports Medicine community’s need for knowledge exchange. In this regard, Isokinetic Medical Group has created a genuine cultural hub, where not only Isokinetic but the entire scientific community comes together to share knowledge and experience.
The Conference has been hosted in some of the world’s most iconic stadiums, including Wembley in London, the legendary Camp Nou in Barcelona and the Civitas Metropolitano in Madrid. Each year, more than 2,500 professionals from over 90 countries gather under FIFA and Isokinetic’s shared umbrella. The Conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with the global scientific community and exchange the clinical knowledge gained daily through patient care.
This significant growth has led Isokinetic to identify a dedicated mission for the event itself: “To inspire the international Sports Medicine community, through our Culture, Image, Atmosphere, Organisation, to do their best to improve global health.” This specific mission complements the wider mission of the Isokinetic Group: “To be the Medical Group recognised as a leading international model for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, with daily pursuit of excellence for the Patient”. The two missions are closely connected: if our Conference represents the ultimate expression of the Group’s mission, the Conference mission raises the bar even higher, driving Isokinetic to contribute not only on an institutional level, but also on a broader social one—to inspire the community to improve health worldwide. It is an ambitious goal and one that can only be achieved in partnership with the entire international community.
