Isokinetic centres are distinguished by the presence of specialists in Physiatry and Sports Medicine. Other professionals that work alongside them are experts in motor rehabilitation, physical therapists, athletic trainers, chiropractors, and receptionists.
Every patient who chooses to undergo a rehabilitation pathway is appointed a medical specialist which we call a ‘Case Manager.’ After your initial consultation and careful diagnosis, they define a treatment protocol and supervise all rehabilitation phases until the set goals are achieved..
Once the course of treatment is set, the physician entrusts the patient to a rehabilitation specialist, monitoring their progress through constant communication with the therapist and periodic follow-up visits.
To ensure that patients always feel comfortable and taken care of at Isokinetic, even outside treatment areas, our receptionists and administrative staff are dedicated to meeting their practical, organisational, and logistical needs.
Physicians
Physicians at Isokinetic are specialised in Physiatrics and/or Sports Medicine. They are responsible for the patient’s therapeutic programme and coordinate the work of all the professionals involved.
- During the initial visit, they write the patient’s medical history and through targeted questions and tests, identify the source of the discomfort and/or pain.
- They prescribe any necessary diagnostic or instrumental tests (ultrasound, X-ray, MRI, CT scan, etc.) that may be useful for a more comprehensive diagnosis.
- They make a diagnosis, prescribe a personalised rehabilitation protocol, and set the recovery goals to be achieved through integrated therapies and treatments.
- They prescribe and administer any necessary specialized medical treatments (shock wave therapy, mesotherapy, hyaluronic acid injections, etc.) and pharmacological therapies.
- They constantly supervise all phases of the treatment protocol with frequent check-up visits.
Rehabilitation specialists
Rehabilitation specialists at Isokinetic are high-level functional motor rehabilitation professionals whose skills range from the musculoskeletal system to the nervous, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems.
- They are responsible for the patients assigned to them for rehabilitation in the pool, gym, Green Room, and on the sports field.
- They carry out the rehabilitative treatments specified in the medical prescriptions, whether manual and/or instrumental.
- They report treatment results and patients’ progress to the physicians to ensure that the approach is always up-to-date and tailored to the patients’ needs.
Receptionists
The Receptionist will be your logistical and administrative support throughout the rehabilitation journey.
- Provides information by phone, in person or by e-mail.
- Welcomes patients inside the clinics.
- Accompanies patients through the various steps within the facility and takes care of any logistical, organisational, and administrative needs.
- Manages the appointments of physicians and rehabilitation specialists.
Chiropractors
At Isokinetic centres, you can also benefit from the services of chiropractors.
Chiropractors are specially licensed functional recovery practitioners. Chiropractic is a manual technique aimed to alleviate, treat, and prevent certain mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system through specific maneuvers performed on soft tissues and targeted manipulations.
Along with a personalised diet plan, targeted physical exercises, and a correct lifestyle, it can resolve lower back and neck pain, discopathies, pain in the lower and upper limbs, fibromyalgia, migraines, and headaches.
Patients at the centre
By “Patient Triangle” we mean a true service for our patients with the case manager personally involved in managing the rehabilitation pathway.
The triangle is an organizational model that emphasizes the relationship between the various providers and, most importantly, between each individual provider and the patient. The Managing Physician is at the top of the triangle while rehabilitation specialist and the receptionist are at its base. In the center of the triangle is the patient.
For each patient there is an assigned team of professionals, led by a coordinating physician, who work together to achieve the goals of the patient.
