Dear Patient,
the snow is falling early this year, so the first feeling of skiing down the slopes or in the powder is closer than ever. Make sure though that you make the most of your ski holiday by getting in shape before you head off.
Specific training is important because winter sports use different muscles to exercise. The ski resorts are also at high altitude, and it’s pretty intense being on the slopes all day every day. Fundamentally you’re on holiday the aim of the game is to enjoy it, and not have the fun curtailed by even mild strains and aching joints.
We believe the key is to prepare your body during the weeks leading up to your trip (ideally at least 6 weeks) in order to improve performance and reduce the chance of injuries and falls.
Our advice is having an active lifestyle and exercise all through the year; walking, running, cycling or similar. But we know that working out by ourselves is not always easy.
So this offer is designed to give you the chance to gain a certain level of cardiovascular fitness and strength that will be required if you want to make the most out of every day on the slopes and still have the energy for the après ski at the end of the day.
