Isokinetic was proudly involved in The Power of Dancing workshops last week. We have been partnering this year with a wonderfully inspiring charity – We are Stronger, who’s mission is Working together through anti-bullying prevention programs, interventions and events to promote mental health and wellbeing.
The event focused on the amazing power of dance. Science has proven dancing is one of the best natural healers, it helps release feel good hormones, develop logic, strengthen memory, opens up your emotions, exploring different ways of expressing yourself. Three amazing professional dancers and teachers, a dancing therapist and a wellbeing specialist worked with over 100 participants on their personal development. (See attached flyer).
Dance Medicine is a particular interest area for Isokinetic London. We regularly help with the rehabilitation and return to dancing of professional dancers from Sadler’s Wells, English National Ballet and Royal National Ballet, alongside those patients who love to dance and express themselves through movement. Our hydrotherapy pool environment in particular is a favourite place for dancers to start to regain their confidence with more explosive movements and jumps.
