Think about an equilateral triangle, you are in the middle and on its sides there are the Case Manager, the Rehabilitation Coach and the Receptionist. All of these figures will help your recovery and they will work as a team. However you are always at the centre, your requests, your doubts, your needs, keeping in mind we do not treat the knee, but the patient suffering from knee pathology. Our Case Manger is not just a specialized doctor, but he is a “patient` s manager”. It is he who projects the rehabilitation, a conductor (that is why he is at the top of the triangle). The other figures are important as well, the Rehabilitation Coach and the Receptionist, who will participate actively in your therapeutic programme.
This triangle highlights four aspects:
The centrality of the patient (“we do not treat the knee, but the Patient who has knee pain") is highlighted by placing the patient at the center of the triangle.
The doctor is placed at the apex of the triangle because the “manager" of the triangle is precisely the doctor (concept of “managing doctor").
Doctor, rehab specialist and receptionist working together to reach the goal of the enthusiastic patient. The concept of teamwork is represented by the sides of equal length of the equilateral triangle.
Real-time management of the patient’s problems, through the relationships that are defined with that single doctor, that single re-educator and that single receptionist.
Work as a team
The Patient Triangle also implies the concept of teamwork. In fact, all the professionals working in our Isokinetic Centers can be placed in one of this groups: doctors, rehabilitation specialists, receptionists and administration team, other professional figures and staff who have chosen to solve the patient’s problems through team work.
Another fundamental aspect of team work in Isokinetic is the relationship between the various professional rehabilitation colleagues within Isokinetic, but also outside with surgeons and with those who send patients for re-education (athletic trainers, other doctors, family members, friends, etc.).
Followin our team-work model, the organisational and relational aspects are merged together, complementary to each other, and this complementarity is one of our final plus in taking care of the patient’s wellbeing 360 degrees around.
